A hotel located in the Rotunda tower in Birmingham has shut down after operating for 15 years.

Staying Cool at Rotunda mentioned that they have made efforts to remain open, but the repercussions of the pandemic and the decrease in demand caused by the high cost of living have posed challenges.

The company stated that they had made every effort to rescue the business and expressed regret for the sudden closure and the trouble caused to customers with reservations.

"We want to express our gratitude to the city where we have resided for the past 15 years. Birmingham, we hold a deep affection for you and it pains us to bid farewell under these circumstances," a statement expressed.

Staying Cool at Rotunda has been in operation in the heart of Birmingham for 15 years.

Staying Cool shared the announcement on their website and social media accounts.

"We did everything we could to keep our beloved business afloat, but like many others, we were never able to fully recover from the financial strain brought on by the pandemic and the accumulating loans and debts," they explained.

The statement expressed gratitude to all those who contributed to making Staying Cool a unique independent business. Special thanks were given to suppliers, the Birmingham Chamber of Commerce, and UK Hospitality for their support.

A person commenting on Facebook expressed sadness about the hotel shutting down. They mentioned feeling broken-hearted about another famous place in Birmingham closing as well.
