Former US president Bill Clinton discharged from hospital after treatment for fever
Former US president Bill Clinton has been released from a hospital in Washington DC where he was being treated for a fever.
Mr. Clinton, who is 78 years old, was taken to MedStar Georgetown University Hospital for examinations and monitoring.
Angel Ureña, who serves as the deputy chief of staff for the 42nd president, shared with NBC News, Sky's US partner network, that he was feeling "optimistic" after being admitted and expressed his "appreciation" for the treatment he has been receiving.
Mr. Urena shared on X today that Mr. Clinton has been released from the hospital.
A different insider connected to Mr. Clinton mentioned that the circumstances were "not pressing."
"The ex-president is doing well," the source mentioned on Monday. "He had a fever and decided to get evaluated. He is conscious and aware."
This year, Mr. Clinton has been actively campaigning for Vice President Kamala Harris and has also been promoting his book, Citizen.
The ex-president, who held office for two terms from January 1993 to January 2001, spoke at the Democratic National Convention in Chicago this past summer.

After his time in office, Mr. Clinton had two heart surgeries in New York. In 2004, he underwent a quadruple bypass surgery, and in 2010, he had two stents placed in a coronary artery.
In 2021, he spent six days in the hospital due to a urinary tract infection that had developed into a bloodstream infection.
