Selena Gomez has officially announced that she is in a romantic relationship with producer Benny Blanco.

It appears that the person behind Rare Beauty has validated the speculation floating around about her and the music producer. This confirmation came in the form of a "like" on a post from PopFaction, a fan account that shares celebrity news. The post in question, published on December 4th, was titled "Selena Gomez Seemingly Confirms That She Is in a Relationship" and included a series of images. On December 7th, the Rare Beauty founder commented "facts" underneath the post's carousel of photos.

The rotating display displayed a video of Gomez confessing her infatuation in an episode of Selena + Chef: Home for the Holidays. This episode was probably recorded several months ago and in it, the celebrity said, "I'm pretty thrilled because I have a crush on someone." Additionally, the blog post showcased snapshots from her Instagram story where she encouraged the launch of the chef's latest cookbook.

Fans who commented on the post didn't show much enthusiasm for the new relationship of the Only Murders in The Building actor. As a result, she took action against the trolls who called Blanco "unworthy" of her.

"I am confused," she wrote. "If you truly love me, this is when I am most joyful. You are free to express any thoughts you have. However, I refuse to let your words dictate my existence. I won't tolerate this anymore. If you can't embrace my happiness, then you don't belong in my life."

The former Disney Channel actor responded to others, claiming that they are the most significant event that has ever occurred in their life and superior to anyone else with whom they have had a relationship.

She stated that he has treated her in a better way than anyone else on Earth and that he holds a significant place in her heart as her everything.

While Gomez kept fighting against those who criticized her, PopFaction shared snapshots of her responses and sarcastically stated in the post's caption, "Looks like she's staying for a long time. It's a Q&A, so ask her anything you want."

The person who sang "Single Soon" expressed sympathy towards internet bullies, stating that she pities them and emphasizing that they have no actual knowledge about her.

The response stated, "My dear, I have been seeing a therapist since I turned 18. I'm aware of what's good for me, and I will not back down until I receive what I deserve. I understand that you mean well, yet your advice is not needed. I am progressing in life, and you are welcome to come along. However, please note that I have decided not to engage in a relationship with an individual who lacks respect. I apologize if this disappoints you."

A few individuals in the comments labeled Gomez as "cheesy" because she made an effort to protect Blanco. However, the duo has a past association as they collaborated with J Balvin in 2019 to produce the track "I Can't Get Enough."

The creator attended Gomez's charity event for youth mental health, called the Rare Impact Fund Benefit, in October 2023. Apparently, the producer participated in an auction for tickets to Taylor Swift's upcoming Eras Tour.

Fans had been talking a lot about the duo for weeks because they saw them interacting frequently on social media. Some fans were positive that Gomez wrote a lovely message that Blanco shared on Instagram and mentioned it was from his "gf." Additionally, Mandy Teefey, who is the singer's mother, started following Blanco on Instagram, which was quite noticeable.
