A BBC host found himself in a hurry to fix a mistake after inadvertently letting slip an inappropriate comment while broadcasting live.
During the weekend, Sam MacGregor, the host of BBC Radio 1's breakfast show, was wrapping up the announcement for Lizzo's popular song "Juice."
As he gradually reduced the volume of the song to address the audience, he made a small mistake.
As soon as he recognized his error, Sam hurried to fix it, and his co-host Danni Diston erupted in laughter.
Trying to recover from his mistake, Sam addressed the audience: "Oh, my apologies! Let me rephrase that. Are you ready? Sorry, sorry."
Although Sam may have wished that viewers overlooked it, the incident was soon spread across social media platforms.
"Don't stress, no one saw," Scott Bryan posted with a video on X, also mentioning the presenter.
"That just made my entire day," James Ball said after hearing the funny blunder.
When sharing the clip again, Sam took the opportunity to laugh about the situation, saying he would be practicing to ensure it wouldn’t happen a second time.
He shared a post saying, "L for Lizzo, J for Juice, L for Lizzo, J for Juice, L for Lizzo, J for Juice..."
Sam isn't the first host to feel a bit embarrassed while live on air.
Earlier this year, broadcaster Roger Johnson featured a segment on North West Tonight that highlighted the largest cuckoo clock in the world.
When he first brought up the item, Roger accidentally used a different four-letter word that sounded similar.
As soon as he recognized his error, he tried to fix it by restating his point, making it clear that he meant to say, "Clock collection."
Making light of the situation, he playfully remarked, "That was a simple thing to say."
To ensure there was no misunderstanding and to protect himself, he added later, "Just to clarify, I was talking about clocks."
Last year, Kanoa Lloyd, the host of The Project New Zealand, experienced a notable blunder while discussing significant news about the return of three flavors of Cadbury Roses.
Nevertheless, while she was speaking, she accidentally said something amusing that had both her and the audience in fits of laughter.
The 36-year-old was reading from the teleprompter when she accidentally mispronounced the word 'comeback.'
"After being abandoned in 2018, strawberry cream, orange cream, and peppermint cream are making a comeback," she mentioned.
As soon as she recognized her error, Kanoa hid her face and erupted into laughter.
