The Boardmasters organizers announced that there will be a 50% increase in security patrols with high visibility.
The organizers of the yearly music festival in Newquay have announced that they will be enhancing security for the 2025 events.
Boardmasters announced on Facebook that it would be increasing its security staff by 20% for roles focused on managing crowds and behavior during the event scheduled from August 6 to 10.
The festival will introduce 25 additional entry points, allowing for more thorough checks of attendees' belongings. There will also be a 25% increase in the number of watchtowers staffed around the clock, alongside a 50% boost in visible security patrols throughout the event.
On the Friday night during the 2024 Boardmasters event in August, seven individuals were hospitalized due to injuries resulting from a crowd surge.

The yearly festival is held in Newquay, located in Cornwall.
In a post on Facebook, Boardmasters announced that they will be providing updates about modifications for next year's event in the coming days and weeks.
The organizers announced that there will be 50 buses available for the park and ride service, and the drop-off zone will be situated nearer to the entrances.
The Facebook update also mentioned that improvements will be implemented for the camping areas at next year's event, including a designated "chill zone" that will enforce a noise limit starting at 11 PM BST.
The list of performers for the 2025 festival hasn't been announced yet.
