New Warehouse In Malaysia By Barry Callebaut & Maersk
Barry Callebaut will build a new cocoa bean warehouse in Malaysia. They partnered with Maersk for a long-term collaboration.
Barry Callebaut's warehouse aids in strategic growth. It supplies products to Malaysia and Asia Pacific customers.
Maersk wants to grow its logistics service by adding an integrated end-to-end logistics solution. They will do this by adding the new facility.
This warehouse is going to be big, one of the biggest in Southeast Asia. It's going to be 500,000 square feet with a special layout to make it work better. The warehouse will have solar panels, LED lights, and ventilation to help the environment. This will be good.
Maersk has controlled Barry Callebaut’s supply chain since 2022. They connect African cocoa farms with factories in Asia Pacific using Maersk's logistics service.
Barry Callebaut is thrilled to expand their partnership with Maersk to make their supply chain stronger. The new warehouse lets them manage their cocoa bean qualities more carefully. This is essential for their plans to grow in the area. Elie Fouché, Vice President for the Asia Pacific region, said this.
The warehouse will be done by Q2 2024.
