Nicole Kidman 'didn't want to orgasm anymore' while filming Babygirl

Nicole Kidman has shared that there were moments while shooting her latest film, Babygirl, when she felt she didn't want to experience pleasure anymore.

The exciting new movie featuring Kidman, 57, in the role of Romy, a driven tech CEO, and Harris Dickinson, 28, as Samuel, an intern at the firm, is scheduled to be released on Christmas Day in the US and on January 10 in the UK.

As reported by The Sun, the Oscar-winning actress described the experience of filming as 'freeing' and emphasized the importance of the trust that developed among herself, the director, and Dickinson for the project to come together.

Halina Reijn is at the helm of an A24 erotic thriller, which includes intimate scenes with Nicole Kidman and Elizabeth Dickinson, along with moments between Kidman and her on-screen husband, portrayed by Antonio Banderas, who is 64 years old.

This resulted in numerous days of shooting where Kidman experienced an excessive level of physical contact, something she mentioned could cause feelings of 'frustration.'

She described it this way: "There was a lot of openness and trust at first, but then that turned into frustration. It felt like saying, 'Just stay away from me.'"

During the filming, there were moments when I found myself thinking, “I really don’t want to climax anymore.”

She went on to explain that at times, the whole experience would leave her feeling drained. "Just stay away from me. I can't stand this. Honestly, I wouldn’t mind if I never had to deal with it again! I'm done with it all."

"It was constantly on my mind to the point where it felt similar to burnout."

In a recent question-and-answer session, Kidman mentioned that taking part in a film like this was uncharted territory for her and demanded a significant amount of trust.

She mentioned, "It's like taking a leap into the unknown where you decide to leave everything behind and dive into this with people I trust. We're working within a familiar genre, but we aim to discover new ground, especially with a woman leading the way," as reported by People.

She explained that having faith in her director to ensure her safety, as well as that of her fellow cast members, was crucial for the experience. She mentioned, "It's important to have your director leading the way, assuring you, 'I’ve got your back. Everything in this film will be something you’re comfortable with. You’ll be alright.'"

She mentioned that she and Dickinson shared a great deal of trust in one another.

Dickinson elaborated by mentioning, "Naturally, there were times when I would enter feeling extremely scared about a particular scene, uncertain about how I would manage it."

He reiterated the strong trust he shares with his film team, explaining, "There was never a single day when we prioritized time over the quality of a scene. If something wasn't working or we weren't feeling comfortable, we just said, 'Alright, let's all take a moment.'”

Kidman also mentioned that she had to accept the reality that people would witness aspects of her life that she typically keeps private, just like what's captured in personal home videos.

Discussing the movie with Vanity Fair, she expressed, "It's kind of surreal to think, 'Wow, I'm a part of this, and soon everyone will see it.' It's definitely a strange sensation."

She went on to say, "This is something you do and keep private, just for your home videos. It’s not something you would typically share with the world."

Kidman's recent remarks about the movie come after a significant online reaction to the film's incredibly provocative trailer.

“I’m already at the cinema if you were curious,” said @StateofKait in a comment under the trailer on YouTube. Meanwhile, another fan playfully added, “A24 is creating their own take on 50 Shades of Grey.”

“50 Shades of Nicole Kidman… Count me in,” said @MePatriick, while @perenniallachrymosity excitedly shouted, “The era of steamy films is making a comeback, yes!”

“Oh, this is so exciting!” exclaimed a delighted @JoeOrgana on X, while @booksnbusy added, “Ohhh, this is going to be an amazing experience! Gentle Dom Harris.”

"Wow... feeling super turned on and comfortably settled," mentioned @moxxie__.

Babygirl's debut at the Venice Film Festival led to Kidman winning the Volpi Cup for Best Actress, which only increased the excitement among fans.

The new movie also sees Kidman participating in the growing Hollywood trend where older actresses are paired with younger male actors in romantic roles.

We’ve watched Anne Hathaway, 41, get involved in a passionate relationship with a charming young pop star in his twenties, portrayed by Nick Galitzine, 29.

In a more recent project, Laura Dern, 57, and Liam Hemsworth, 34, appeared in Netflix's newest romantic comedy, "Lonely Planet." The film follows a novelist (played by Dern) who embarks on a writer's retreat in search of self-discovery and soon finds herself involved with a significantly younger man (Hemsworth).

Olivia Wilde, who is 40 years old, will star in a romantic roles with 21-year-old Cooper Hoffman in the new movie I Want Your Sex, where he is referred to as a 'nepo baby.'

Meanwhile, Julia Fox, 34, will star in the LGBTQ+ romantic drama "Perfect," sharing the screen with the slightly younger Ashley Moore.
