Situated on Spring Street NW in Atlanta, Georgia, this project consists of 168 units spread across an area of 277,457 square feet. Conveniently, it is only a short three-minute stroll away from the main campus of Georgia Tech. The anticipated move-in date for residents is scheduled for August 11, 2023.

Whistler is located amidst a variety of dining establishments, retail stores, and watering holes near Tech Square, a highly esteemed hub for innovation at the national level. Additionally, it is conveniently situated near Piedmont Park, Ponce City Market, Atlantic Station, and Bobby Dodd Stadium.

"We are extremely excited to introduce our carefully selected, immersive student accommodation to the Georgia Tech student community as we venture into the Atlanta market," expressed David Kanne, CEO of LV Collective, in an official declaration. "Boasting an ideal placement, meticulous architecture, and incomparable facilities, we have set exceptionally high standards and cannot wait to showcase Whistler's enticing qualities to the vibrant city of Atlanta."

The structure consists of 168 residential rental accommodations, showcasing different layout designs from small units to spacious ones with five bedrooms and five bathrooms. In total, there are 565 beds available. Renting is done on a per-bed basis, which means each resident can lease a private bedroom and bathroom while sharing the communal spaces with their roommates. The advantage of this arrangement is that individuals are not held legally responsible for covering their roommate's portion of the rent.

Whistler's layout consists of a lobby that draws inspiration from vintage aesthetics. It is adorned with numerous plants, comfortable furniture, and diverse decorative elements. This arrangement creates an atmosphere reminiscent of a stylish boutique hotel rather than the average student accommodation. Moreover, Daydreamer Coffee, situated within this space, offers meticulously prepared espresso beverages, coffee, tea, as well as delectable artisan pastries and snacks.

Created specifically with the needs and preferences of Georgia Tech students at the forefront, the study area on the second floor, known as the study mezzanine, is the biggest study space that LV Collective has ever incorporated into a student housing endeavor. This well-equipped area offers individual study areas, shared conference rooms for collaborative work, and an advanced podcast room.

People who own pets will appreciate the dog spa that is available within the building. The uppermost floor is solely dedicated to the fitness center, which offers a range of cardio and weightlifting machines, as well as yoga and spin studios and a sauna. On the 24th floor, there is a deck with a glass-enclosed infinity pool and hot tub. By providing these facilities on the top two floors of the building, all residents can enjoy the stunning views, and it is not exclusive to those who pay the highest rent.

“Our focus on design is one of the things that distinguishes us from other developers of student housing. Along with creating visually appealing spaces, we also put thought into how the space will affect your emotions,” stated Chelsea Kloss, Executive Vice President of Design and Curation at LV. “Whistler is a great example of this. Drawing inspiration from the rich music scene and soulful culture of Atlanta, the building incorporates elements such as burnished brass, matte black metals, and carefully selected light fixtures that evoke the nostalgia of train stations and old-school cafes. Whistler is fully prepared to welcome students and provide the immersive living experience that LV is renowned for producing.”

LV Collective is quickly growing its footprint beyond Texas, branching out into Arizona, Georgia, Ohio, Florida, Michigan, and Maryland. This esteemed organization specializes in constructing housing facilities aimed at students, with a remarkable portfolio in Austin, Texas. Their noteworthy developments include The Ruckus, Ruckus 2.0, Moontower, and Waterloo.

Whistler is a collaboration between LV Collective and ELV Associates, Inc. Variant Collaborative furnished interior design services, while Niles Bolton Associates acted as the architect. JE Dunn is overseeing the project as the general contractor, and Asset Living is responsible for project management.
