Chelsea line up vs Astana

Astana vs Chelsea

Samuel Rak-Sakyi will be making his first full appearance in Chelsea's UEFA Conference League match against Astana, as part of a complete overhaul of Enzo Maresca's lineup with ten alterations.

Midfielder Rak-Sakyi has been a substitute in our previous two European matches, but in the chilly conditions of Kazakhstan, he makes his first starting appearance for Chelsea.

Carney Chukwuemeka is included in the starting lineup, along with fellow Academy players Josh Acheampong and Tyrique George, both of whom have had some experience with the first team this season.

Filip Jorgensen will be the goalkeeper, while Acheampong is anticipated to line up alongside captain Axel Disasi, Tosin Adarabioyo, and Renato Veiga in the defense.

Rak-Sakyi is anticipated to take his position in midfield next to Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall, while Chukwuemeka is expected to play further up the pitch. On the wings, Pedro Neto and George are likely to be stationed, with Marc Guiu taking the lead as the main striker. Neto is the only player who remains in the starting lineup from the victory against Spurs on Sunday.

The bench features nine young players, with only Harvey Vale having previously appeared for our senior team.

Chelsea's lineup includes Jorgensen, Acheampong, Disasi (captain), Tosin, Veiga, Dewsbury-Hall, Rak-Sakyi, Pedro Neto, Chukwuemeka, George, and Guiu.

Substitutions: Bergstrom, Merrick, Murray-Campbell, Olise, Wilson, Dyer, Vale, Ampah, Mhueka
