The ex-governor of California, who has just welcomed his third grandchild, is now part of a lengthy list of actors who have taken on the role of Santa Claus. This roster includes names like Ben Affleck, Tim Allen, Billy Bob Thornton, and Kurt Russell.

The first reports about the Hollywood icon taking on a role in a new Christmas comedy came out in March.

Adam Shankman is at the helm of the film from Amazon MGM Studios, which features a screenplay written by Allan Rice.

The story goes like this: When Santa's magical bag goes missing, he decides to reach out to someone on his naughty list—Vance, a reformed thief—to assist him in recovering it.

Together with his daughter, Santa, and a team of quirky elves, Vance must execute the most daring heist of his life to rescue Christmas.

This will be the first occasion that Arnie takes part in a holiday film since Jingle All The Way back in 1996.

This will be his first film appearance of any sort since 2019's Terminator: Dark Fate.

He filmed Kung Fury 2 that year, but it hasn’t been released yet because of legal complications.

He appeared in his documentary that was released on Netflix last year.

The three-part documentary explored the various dimensions of Arnie's life and career, tracing his journey from a bodybuilding champion to a movie star and eventually to a politician.

Arnie portrayed the main character in the Terminator series but revealed last year that he was finished with making those films.

He believes that the series' future should be handed over to different actors, according to Maria Shriver's ex-husband.

At that moment, the actor shared with The Hollywood Reporter: "The series isn't over. I’m finished."

I understood perfectly that there's a strong desire for a fresh direction for 'The Terminator' series. It's clear that we need a new and innovative concept.

Arnie shared that he'll forever cherish the joyful memories of the franchise that made him a true star.

Arnold is most recognized for his performances in various action movies, like The Terminator, and for his time as a bodybuilder (shown in 1976).

He mentioned that "The Terminator" played a big role in his success, so he always holds it in high regard.

Besides his acting profession, he is also a father to five kids: daughters Katherine, who is 35, and Christina, aged 31, along with sons Patrick, also 31, Christopher, 27, and Joseph, who is 27 as well.

He has children with Shriver, except for Joseph, whose mother is Mildred Patricia Baena, who was his housekeeper for many years.
