Arnold Schwarzenegger, 77, is the absolute spits of Santa with great big bushy beard
In his 70s, Arnold Schwarzenegger has embraced a new role, and he’s pulling it off remarkably well.
The 77-year-old actor known for his role in Terminator appeared nearly unidentifiable while walking through New York City, completely dressed as Santa Claus.
We're familiar with the actor's brown hair, but he's undergone a holiday transformation and is now sporting a white beard and hair.
Beaming with joy, Arnold sported a bright red coat reminiscent of Paddington, a beanie overflowing with pom-poms, and tan corduroy pants as he embraced the spirit of the festive giant dog for his upcoming movie, The Man With The Bag.
In a social media video featuring Arnie in his outfit, fans voiced their worries as he was spotted moving at a consistent speed, accompanied by several security personnel.
The ex-governor of California, who has just welcomed his third grandchild, once took a break from his typical action roles to star in the holiday movie Jingle All The Way in 1996.
In the story, he portrayed a dad determined to find a particular action figure for his son as a Christmas gift.
The upcoming Christmas movie featuring Arnie will be helmed by Adam Shankman, based on a screenplay written by Allan Rice.
The story centers around Arnie, who plays Santa Claus. When his sack of gifts is taken, he decides to enlist the help of a past thief he had put on his naughty list to recover it.
"The story follows Vance as he teams up with his daughter, Santa, and a band of quirky elves. Together, they'll embark on the most significant heist of his life to rescue Christmas," describes the plot summary.
This will mark Arnie's first acting role since Terminator: Dark Fate in 2019. However, last year he featured in a Netflix documentary that explored his life.
Named Arnold, the documentary traces his path from being a bodybuilder to becoming a Hollywood actor and later a politician, receiving enthusiastic praise from critics.
Earlier this year, Arnold announced that he had a pacemaker implanted after having had three open heart surgeries in the past.
The ex-bodybuilder made a joke about having a "machine part," similar to his character in Terminator, and mentioned that he plans to take a break from his exercise routine.
While speaking on his Arnold’s Pump Club podcast, he mentioned, "I underwent surgery to enhance my functionality: I received a pacemaker."
I have to admit, sharing this with all of you really goes against how I was raised in Austria, where discussing health matters was almost unheard of. People tended to keep everything related to healthcare private and didn’t talk about it openly.
I've received a lot of messages and emails from others who, like me, were born with a bicuspid aortic valve. They’ve shared that hearing about my experiences with valve replacement surgery has inspired them and helped them find the strength to face their own situations.
"Given that I've realized being open and honest can actually benefit others, I feel like I don’t have any other option."
