Four individuals have lost their lives and nine more have been wounded in a shooting incident at Apalachee High School in Winder, Georgia.

Authorities have named the deceased individuals as students Mason Schermerhorn and Christian Angulo, as well as teachers Christina Irimie and Richard Aspinwall.

The 14-year-old accused, Colt Gray, was taken into custody and will face charges as an adult.

Schermerhorn was a 14-year-old boy who tragically lost his life. People close to his mother shared with the New York Times that he had just begun attending Apalachee school.

People said he was carefree and liked reading, playing video games, and going to Walt Disney World.

Schermerhorn maintained a positive outlook on all things, according to Doug Kilburn who spoke to the media.

Louis Briscoe shared his experience of learning about Schermerhorn's passing from his mother, expressing, "No one should have to endure such intense grief."

Lisette Angulo revealed that she is the older sister of the 14-year-old victim of the shooting.

On a fundraising page on GoFundMe to cover the costs of the funeral, she shared that her brother was "kind, caring, and sweet". She mentioned how many people loved him and expressed her deep sadness over losing him.

His classmates described him as humorous and laid-back, according to Fox 5 Atlanta. A close friend from middle school mentioned being in shock upon hearing the news of the shooting.

Christina Irimie was one of the two educators who lost their lives in the tragic incident.

The 53-year-old is listed on the Apalachee High School website as a math instructor.

According to Fox 5 Atlanta, students said she was very kind and understanding.

Another math instructor, Richard Aspinwall, who was 39 years old, was also fatally injured.

According to US media sources, he also coached the school's American football defense. His fellow athletes have paid their respects to him.

Close by, Mountain View High School acknowledged Aspinwall as one of its previous teachers and coaches, expressing sympathy and support for his family.

The football coach from Buford High School, Brandon Gill, posted on social media praising Aspinwall as an exceptional person who always helped others. Gill described him as an outstanding husband, father, teacher, and coach.

Victims Of Georgia High School Shooting

In addition to the four individuals who lost their lives, there were also eight students and one teacher who were injured.

The teacher's daughter confirmed that his name is David Phenix. He is responsible for helping with the school's curriculum, as stated on the school's website.

His daughter explained that he had surgery after getting shot in the hip, and she felt incredibly fortunate that he made it through.

There is not much information available about the eight injured children.

The police report that everyone injured in the incident is anticipated to make a full recovery.
