Angela Rayner was seen partying behind the DJ booth at a nightclub in Ibiza. After attending a meeting with mayors and housing regulators, the deputy prime minister and housing secretary was captured dancing with Australian DJ Fisher in front of a huge crowd at an Ibiza superclub just a few hours later.

On Instagram, Denise van Outen shared a video of the MP for Ashton-under-Lyne singing along to a remix of Gotye's "Somebody That I Used To Know" while wearing the DJ's headphones. Many people in the crowd were holding up their smartphones to record the moment.

During the summer break when parliament is not meeting, Ms. Rayner posted pictures of herself at a meeting with mayors and regulators to speed up the process of removing dangerous cladding from many buildings.

She showed up at the Hi Ibiza club, which can hold 5,500 people, at the same time as Sir Keir Starmer's refusal to confirm rumors that he was thinking about prohibiting smoking outside nightclubs and in pub gardens, and as Conservative MPs voiced their disapproval of plans for more flexible working that might lead to four-day work weeks.

Ms Rayner was seen DJing in 2022 at a charity event in Manchester, where she played "Set You Free" by N-Trance. She competed against Andy Burnham and Steve Rotherham, the mayors of Greater Manchester and Liverpool.

It is not known when the deputy prime minister was expected to come back from Ibiza, but she has talked before about her passion for partying and strong cocktails.

Last year, while giving a talk at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival, the 44-year-old mentioned to comedian Matt Forde that she had recently come back from a trip to Spain.

"I was dancing with girls who were much younger than me and I jokingly thought to myself, 'I'm like a grandma.' I felt proud of that," she explained. "I started at 4pm and didn't get home until six in the morning, when the sun was already up. I felt accomplished and thought, 'Yes, I can still keep up with them'."

In response to a question about how she achieved her success, Ms. Rayner allegedly stated that she relied on vodka and emphasized the importance of being in tune with the music and vibes of the moment.

Ms Rayner shared that her kids affectionately refer to her as the "vape dragon" due to her love of vaping. She also mentioned her fondness for a dangerous cocktail named Venom, which consists of a bottle of vodka, a bottle of Southern Comfort, 10 bottles of Blue WKD, and a liter of orange juice.

The deputy PM remembered inviting the headteacher of her children's primary school to their home. The headteacher had to leave early with his wife after having too much to drink. She also mentioned finding one of her local councillors drunk and asleep in the dog's bed.

Ms Rayner isn't the only politician who likes going out at night. Michael Gove, who was housing secretary before her, was seen dancing in a suit at a nightclub in Aberdeen in 2021.

There was a report that Mr. Gove attempted to dodge paying the £5 fee by claiming he was the Chancellor of the Duchy of Lancaster, but his friends denied this claim.
