Armed police raid Andrew Tate’s home in Romania

Masked police officers with weapons entered Andrew Tate's home in Bucharest on Wednesday. This came after new allegations of trafficking and underage sexual activity were made against the misogynistic social media influencer.

Police stated that they carried out four searches as part of a probe into suspicions of human trafficking and engaging in sexual acts with a minor.

Tate, a 37-year-old man who admits to hating women, has gathered a large following of supporters, mainly boys and young males, by advocating for an extremely manly way of living that often belittles females.

The brothers, along with two Romanian women, are currently awaiting trial for charges of human trafficking, rape, and running a criminal organization that exploits women sexually. These accusations were denied by all parties involved.

Diicot, Romania's unit focused on combating organized crime, announced on Wednesday that they carried out four searches at residences in Ilfov county and the city of Bucharest.

The investigation is about a criminal case involving the creation of a criminal organization, trafficking of minors, human trafficking, sexual activity with a minor, manipulating statements and money laundering.

Some police officers with guns and black masks were seen outside of Tate's property. It looked like two of them were holding a tool to break in.

Tate's team verified that police had searched the brothers' residence. In an official statement, a representative stated that while the specific accusations in the warrant were still unclear, they involved potential offenses related to human trafficking and illegal financial transactions. The brothers' lawyers are on site to make sure all procedures are followed accurately.

In July, a Romanian higher court decided to change their previous decision which had given Tate the right to move freely within the European Union before the trial.

Tate, a former kickboxing champion with a huge following on social media, has been saying over and over that the authorities don't have any proof against him. He believes that there's a plot by those in power to keep him quiet.

He used to be blocked from different social media channels for sharing sexist beliefs and for spreading hateful messages.
