Andrew Tate under house arrest over fresh allegations after home raided

Andrew Tate is currently confined to his home in Romania.

In Romania, prosecutors want Tate to remain in custody for another month. Meanwhile, his brother Tristan has been given less strict rules by the Romanian officials.

After Tate and Tristan were arrested, along with four others, as part of a probe into human trafficking and sexual abuse.

The popular social media star's house was searched this week due to fresh accusations brought against him.

Romania's anti-organized crime unit DIICOT conducted raids on four residences in Bucharest and Ilfov county on Wednesday, in connection with accusations of human trafficking, child trafficking, statutory rape, witness tampering, and money laundering.

It is still uncertain which specific charges pertain to each of the six suspects.

Many police officers and forensics experts were spotted searching Tate's expansive property located on the outskirts of the city of Bucharest. Additionally, footage captured the brothers of the former professional kickboxer leaving the house with the police.

Yesterday, Tate's representative Mateea Petrescu responded to the raids by stating that while the specific details of the charges in the search warrant are still unclear, they involve allegations of human trafficking and money laundering. Petrescu also mentioned that Tate's legal team was present during the raids.

Ms. Petrescu chose not to give a statement regarding the accusations concerning individuals under the age of 18.

Tate, aged 37, and Tristan, aged 36, were raised in Luton and have a large following on social media. The elder sibling also participated in the UK edition of Big Brother in 2016.

Men who openly admit to hating women and spread their beliefs on social media platforms like TikTok and X have faced severe backlash, especially because their audience is mostly young males.
