Sara Davies, an entrepreneur from Dragons' Den, stated that it was her main goal to become friends with Amy Dowden when she participated in Strictly Come Dancing.

The duo, who encountered each other for the first time when Davies participated in Strictly show in 2021, are set to face each other in a contest on Tuesday which belongs to the BBC Two programme, Celebrity Antiques Road Trip.

In a recent preview of the program, Davies revealed: "Were you aware that I made a conscious effort to become your friend?"

The 33-year-old dancer who was born in Caerphilly replied by saying: "We simply clicked, didn't we? We provided each other with support and I really enjoyed seeing you and having our discussions about the week on Fridays in the studio."

Davies exclaimed that it wasn't merely a coincidence. He purposely made a direct path towards Amy Dowden, the only person he had yet to form a friendship with.

During the 19th edition of the BBC One program Strictly, a 39-year-old female entrepreneur was paired with Slovenian dancer Aljaz Skorjanec. Sadly, she was eliminated.

In the Celebrity Antiques Road Trip television program, Davies and Dowden will set out from Jesmond, Newcastle upon Tyne, then explore various antique shops located in Whitley Bay, Langley Moor, and Hartlepool.

The grand finale of the auction will take place in Harrogate where a variety of antique items will be sold, including cranberry finger bowls, boudoir chairs, Georgian shoe buckles, and a set of bronze dragon heads.

Natasha Raskin Sharp and Steven Moore, who are well-versed in antiques, will assist the celebrities as they arrive in a 1985 Ford Cortina.

Dowden, who is a skilled dancer, is not performing alongside a famous public figure in the current season of Strictly Come Dancing, as she is currently receiving medical attention for breast cancer.

She's been sharing her medical journey on social media, which involves undergoing a mastectomy and chemotherapy, in hopes of raising awareness about the illness.

The program titled Celebrity Antiques Road Trip is broadcasted on BBC Two and BBC iPlayer at 7 in the evening every Tuesday.
