BBC Strictly Come Dancing's Amanda Abbington breaks silence
Amanda Abbington, who is a popular figure on the dance competition Strictly Come Dancing, has recently shared her thoughts regarding her absence from the live show set to take place on Saturday, October 21st.
This morning, the actress posted a quote from the late actor Robin Williams on her Instagram Stories. Robin, who sadly ended his own life in 2014, was a famous supporter of mental health.
On an image of Robin, there is a quote that says: "Individuals do not pretend to have depression...they only pretend to be fine. Keep this in mind and show kindness."
The host of the spin-off show It Takes Two, Janette Manrara, stated that Amanda and her partner Giovanni Pernice won't be participating in the upcoming episode of Strictly Come Dancing. Janette revealed that Amanda had to cancel her appearance due to medical reasons.
The rules for Strictly Come Dancing state that as long as everything goes smoothly, Amanda and Giovanni will come back the next week. We wish Amanda a quick recovery and are sending her our best wishes!
A spokesperson for Strictly informed The Mirror through a different statement that Amanda Abbington will not be able to participate in Strictly Come Dancing for the upcoming weekend due to health concerns. However, as per the protocols of Strictly Come Dancing, if everything goes smoothly, Amanda and Giovanni will be back on the dancing floor for the following week.
Followers of Strictly were worried upon hearing the news that Amanda would not be appearing in the next live broadcast. They expressed their well wishes for her quick recuperation through various online platforms.
