After gaining approval from Ridley Scott and James Cameron, the brilliant minds behind the original Alien franchise, Fede Alvarez, the director of Alien: Romulus, has shared a sneak peek at what's to come. Fans of the series are buzzing with anticipation since the movie was initially scheduled to be a streaming release on Hulu. However, due to the film's potential, the studio has reconsidered and decided to release it in theaters this August.

Alvarez, who previously directed the 2013 version of the Evil Dead series and the highly praised 2016 film Don't Breathe, is bringing the eighth installment of the Aliens franchise back to its roots in sci-fi horror and thriller genres. The film will contain graphic scenes that may not be suitable for sensitive viewers, and the type of jump scares that stay with you long after the movie ends.

The movie features Cailee Spaeny, Isabela Merced, David Jonsson, Archie Renaux, Spike Fearn, and Aileen Wu in a version where a team of youthful astronauts have a showdown with a deadly Xenomorph aboard an abandoned spacecraft. As expected, the members start dying one by one as the Xenomorph outsmarts them.

The movie pays respect to the previous movies in the series. Alvarez took care to not only find inspiration in the earlier chapters but also weave them into the plot of the new film. Although we don't know much about the story, it supposedly takes place in between the first and second films.

The upcoming horror movie "Romulus" will be released on August 16th and a frightening sneak peek can be viewed below.
