Former Rangers striker Alfredo Morelos arrested in Colombia for drink-driving

Alfredo Morelos, the ex-Rangers forward, has been taken into custody for driving under the influence following a traffic accident in Colombia, as per reports from his home country. Images from the scene indicate that the accident involved a car and a motorbike, which resulted in injuries to the motorcyclist.

According to the traffic and transportation department of Antioquia, "Alfredo Jose Morelos Aviles, a striker for the Atlético Nacional team, has been apprehended. He was behind the wheel of a pickup truck when he caused a traffic collision while intoxicated (Level 2), which led to injuries for Sebastian Guillermo Davila Valderrama."

Morelos netted 124 goals during his six seasons at Rangers before departing when his contract ended in 2023. The 28-year-old first signed with Santos in Brazil but has since returned to Colombia on loan this summer.
