'Kick in the teeth' for Alexander Westwood's victims as rapist will spend Christmas a free man

Alexander Westwood

On Tuesday, December 10, Wolverhampton Crown Court convicted Westwood, 24, on 26 counts of sexual abuse and rape following a trial that lasted four weeks.

The actor is set to receive his sentencing for his offenses on February 25, and he may face a prison term of as much as 15 years.

Nonetheless, Westwood was released on bail until his sentencing in February, allowing him to remain a free man until he learns his fate next year.

One of his victims, who wishes to remain anonymous, shared with the Express & Star: "It was already distressing to see him carry on with his life like nothing was wrong during the trial, but now that he has been found guilty of rape, he needs to be behind bars."
