The Traitors' Alan Cumming Teases Matching Outfits with His Dog for Season 2: 'She Really Is a Pro'
Alan Cumming will greet 21 fresh participants and a cute animal companion to the second installment of The Traitors this coming Friday.
In a recent interview with PEOPLE, 58-year-old Cumming revealed that his trusty canine companion, Lala, will accompany him as he takes on hosting duties for the upcoming season of the Peacock reality competition. The actor had originally intended to bring Lala on board for the first season, hoping that her presence would add a touch of James Bond villainy to his Traitors personality. Unfortunately, COVID-19 put a damper on those plans.
Cumming shared that he originally had plans for his pet to join him on his trip, but unfortunately, the arrival was postponed due to the COVID pandemic. During this time, his pet's vaccinations became outdated while the veterinarian's office was closed, restricting his ability to travel with her for several months.
The person who won the Tony Award was admired for his clothing in season 1. He wore tartan suits and a velvet purple smoking jacket. In the new season, he's collaborating with a stylist named Sam Spector. He's teasing more outrageous outfits with capes, cloaks, and hats that are inspired by specific themes. The person says that he's happy to have reintroduced capes to the fashion world.
Certainly, Lala will be joining in on the excitement of fashion.
The Traitors films in a Scottish castle with a limited wardrobe upstairs, according to Cumming. There are some coordinated outfits, as well as a small cloak.
The photograph is showing a beautiful peacock with its colorful feathers spread out. This image was captured by Euan Cherry, a photographer who captured the essence of this stunning bird. The peacock is a symbol of pride, beauty, and elegance. Its feathers are a natural masterpiece that reflects the creativity of nature. Capturing an image of this bird can be challenging due to its fast movements and shy nature. However, Euan Cherry did an excellent job of capturing the peacock's majestic appearance, and the result is a breathtaking image that captures the essence of this magnificent creature.
Lala is familiar with the glitz and glam of being in the spotlight.
According to Cumming, the lady has appeared on camera many times before and is a skilled professional. She behaves very well and is quite accustomed to being on movie sets. She has also worked on several projects in the past.
Lala is a popular pet who is easily recognized by people on the street because of her significant fame. The owner of the pet, who has been nominated for Emmy awards four times, shared an incident where a woman recognized Lala while they were out walking. The woman asked if it was Lala and the owner confirmed it. The woman expressed surprise at how small Lala appeared in person compared to her pictures. The owner explained that this was a common occurrence and that people often appear larger on TV.
According to Cumming, Lala brings a more pleasant and compassionate vibe to the production environment, particularly for a show like The Traitors where all the players are competing for a significant cash prize of $250,000. He thinks that season 2, which features only famous participants, is notably more powerful than the first season, which had average people competing as well.
Cumming believes that people have a better understanding of the game now and are more open about being gamers. In the first chat, the Traitors are aware of how skilled players have been in the past and consider if being a Traitor would be advantageous. The players have improved their bluffing skills, making the game even more exciting. Cumming predicts that there will be some intense moments during the game.

According to the person from Scotland, there is a hierarchy within the season 2 cast, determined by the previous shows that each person has been on.
Cumming keeps saying, "The contestants on Survivor are a little high and mighty when it comes to the Housewives." However, he also mentions that nobody seemed to recognize British figures John Bercow and Ekin-Su Cülcüloğlu. Cumming finds this fact quite amusing.
At the beginning of the season, Cumming talks to all of the participants, however, it's the producers who ultimately decide who becomes a Traitor and who remains a Faithful.
He states that it's not entirely his responsibility, but he plays a significant role in it. He is delighted with the work he does, and he is in constant communication with his producer, Sam Rees-Jones, who guides him through his missions. They discuss various topics, and he often mutters to himself while on the job. Sam gives him feedback and instructions to help him perform better.
Regardless of being a traitor or faithful, Cumming gives advice to competitors to remain composed and bring their rubber boots.
It's fascinating to see how clever individuals can still make silly choices, which I might also make myself simply because we are all human beings living in this world," says the celebrity from Romy and Michele's High School Reunion. "That's why this show feels like a mixture of Big Brother, Survivor, and Clue, all rolled into one. It's like having three separate programs served together like a sandwich."
