I’m A Celeb’s Sam Thompson opens up about ADHD diagnosis and wanting to be a dad

On I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here!, Sam Thompson spoke about being diagnosed with attention-deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD). He expressed his desire to become a future father and manage his condition effectively.

Thompson, who works in the television and radio industry and is 31 years old, disclosed that he was informed of his condition in the previous year. He shared his background with his fellow contestants on the show, discussing his struggles during his schooling years.

According to him, nobody noticed it before when he was in school. But if you go through all of his report cards, you will find that every single one states the same thing. The report cards mention that he is a person who can be liked, but he lacks concentration and dedication.

Sam Thompson realized in this particular moment that he was participating in #ImACeleb.

It's obvious and right in front of you. When I was a child, knowing this wouldn't have made a big difference, but it may have affected how I felt about myself.

I recall shedding tears onto my educational materials due to my inability to comprehend the information entering my mind.

You have the desire to make a positive impact. You do not intend to be harmful or engage in any sort of misbehavior.

Afterwards, Sam shared in the Bush Telegraph: "I don't feel embarrassed about having ADHD whatsoever."

However, I am aware that if I had been identified with it during my early school years, I would have had a more positive self-image.

Since I was thinking to myself that I am not good at anything, I felt the same way.

Thompson admitted to his fellow campers: "I have a desire to become a father in the future."

"We need to address this issue and take responsibility for the care of a child."

In the previous part of the show, Nick Pickard was informed that Jamie Lynn Spears had departed from I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here! at a later time, which he missed as he slept through the announcement.

On Wednesday's episode of This Morning, Josie Gibson, the host, informed the campmates in the jungle that the individual who was 32 years of age had departed.

The performer and vocalist Spears, who happens to be the sibling of pop icon Britney, departed from the jungle due to health reasons, making her the second celebrity to do so after restaurant critic Grace Dent.

During the latest airing of the ITV1 program on Thursday, the Hollyoaks performer interrogated Nella Rose, a social media content creator, by saying: "Can you share with me what took place last night? I was asleep and have no idea."

Rose exclaimed, "Wow, Jamie's left! We were wondering who would break the news to Nick, as he might wake up and find her missing."

During the episode on Thursday, Fred Sirieix, Marvin Humes, Frankie Dettori, Gibson, and Danielle Harold participated in a trial involving various bugs and creatures. This trial was the first part of a two-day challenge where the campmates are tasked with confronting insects and animals selected by the audience.

The famous individuals resorted to using their tongues to detach stars in the Barbaric Barbershop, all while their heads were confined to boxes.

Gibson quickly lifted her head out of the container when spiders entered it.

Sirieix and Humes had snakes in their containers, while Dettori had to confront cockroaches and Harold dealt with rats.
