I’m A Celeb’s Sam Thompson opens up about ADHD diagnosis and wanting to be a dad

On the show I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here!, Sam Thompson talked about being diagnosed with attention-deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) and expressed his desire to become a father someday while also wanting to understand and manage his condition better.

During a recent interview, Thompson, who is both a popular TV host and radio presenter, shared that he had been diagnosed with a particular condition in the previous year. He also opened up to his fellow campmates about his personal experience with the condition while in school.

He mentioned that during his school days, no one really noticed it earlier. However, if you check all of his report cards, it's mentioned in each of them that he is a decent person but lacks concentration.

It's right in front of you. Even though knowing it as a child wouldn't have made a big difference, it could have affected how you perceive yourself now.

I recall I was shedding tears over my textbook, as the words going into my mind were not comprehensible to me.

You have a desire to act in a positive manner. You are averse to any sort of malicious behavior.

Afterwards, Sam exclaimed in the Bush Telegraph: "I am not embarrassed about having ADHD at all."

However, I am aware that my self-esteem during my school days would have been boosted if I had received the diagnosis at an early age.

"I simply thought to myself, 'I'm not good at anything.'"

Thompson opened up to his fellow campers and admitted, "I have a desire to become a father someday."

"We need to manage this properly. We must take care of the child."

In a previous portion of the show, Nick Pickard discovered that Jamie Lynn Spears had departed from I'm A Celebrity...Get Me Out Of Here! recently, but he missed the announcement due to sleeping.

On Wednesday's installment of This Morning, the presenter Josie Gibson revealed to the contestants in the jungle that the 32-year-old individual had departed.

Spears, an actress and singer who happens to be the sister of popstar Britney, departed from the jungle due to health reasons. This comes after restaurant critic Grace Dent left for similar reasons, making Spears the second celebrity to exit for medical grounds.

During the recent episode of the popular ITV1 series, the actor from Hollyoaks inquired about the events of the previous night to YouTuber Nella Rose by stating, "I was unconscious, so what transpired?"

Rose exclaimed, "Jamie has left! We were thinking, who will inform Nick as he will wake up and realize she is no longer here."

Pickard mentioned in the Bush Telegraph that they hit the hay early last night and sadly, Jamie is no longer around. It's quite unpleasant.

Well, that's just the way it is, we must keep moving forward, right? Let's focus on what needs to be done and keep making progress.

During the Thursday episode, Fred Sirieix, Marvin Humes, Frankie Dettori, Gibson, and Danielle Harold encountered various creepy creatures as they participated in a trial. This particular trial is just the first part of a two-day challenge in which the campmates must confront a selection of bugs and beasts that were picked by the audience.

At the wild and uncivilized hair salon, famous people utilized their language skills to remove celestial bodies while their noggins were enclosed in containers.

After being surrounded by spiders, Gibson quickly removed her head from the box.

Sirieix and Humes each had snakes in their boxes, whereas Dettori encountered cockroaches and Harold had to confront rats.

The television program, I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here!, will be airing on Wednesday at 9pm. You can watch it on both ITV1 and ITVX.
