Adele to step away from music 'for an incredibly long time' to live 'new life'
Adele has announced to her followers that she will be taking a long break from performing, following her last concert on her European tour in Munich, Germany.
The 36-year-old informed her fans that she requires some time off and is looking forward to enjoying the new life she has been working on.
The singer from London shared the news of her engagement while performing in Munich earlier this month. She has mentioned before that she plans to take a long break from music after her current series of performances.
For the last two years, she has been performing every weekend at The Colosseum in Caesars Palace in Las Vegas. Recently, she finished a series of 10 concerts at Munich's Messe exhibition centre, which can hold up to 80,000 people.
During her last performance on Saturday, she expressed her gratitude to the audience, saying, "I greatly appreciate all of you for attending tonight's show. To everyone who has attended any of my shows in the past, thank you so much for your support."
I may not feel completely at ease on stage, but I excel at performing and have been doing so for almost three years. This is the longest I've ever pursued this passion and likely the longest I ever will.
"I have 10 more shows to do in Las Vegas after this one because I was sick before. That's why they were postponed. This was supposed to be my final show."
I'm really happy that it's not the end yet, because I still have five weeks left of shows. It's like having weekends and all, and I still have 10 shows to do.
"I won't be seeing you for a very long time, but I will always cherish the memories we shared. During my break, I'll fondly think about the performances, including those from the past three years."
I will always cherish them deeply in my heart, the memories we shared were truly special. Now, after seven years of hard work, I feel the need to take a break and focus on living the new life I have created for myself. I am excited to finally start living the life I have worked so hard to build.

After taking a five-year break, she came back with her newest album, 30, which was released in November 2021. She made a triumphant return by performing at the British Summer Time festival (BST) in Hyde Park the next summer, which was her final show in the UK.
