Adan Canto, "Designated Survivor" and "X-Men" actor, dies at age 42 after cancer battle

Adan Canto, who appeared in the TV series "Designated Survivor" and the movie "X-Men: Days of Future Past," passed away on Monday after struggling with appendiceal cancer, as announced by his representative Jennifer Allen in a statement given to CBS News on Tuesday. He was 42 years old.
Allen mentioned that Adan possessed a profoundness of soul that only a handful of individuals were able to comprehend. Those who caught a glimpse of it were permanently transformed.
Canto, a multi-talented individual who was born in Mexico and grew up in Texas, dabbled in singing, directing, and acting. He ventured into the acting world on American TV in 2013 with a part on "The Following," a popular Fox drama, and continued to play various characters in movies and on television.
He had recently appeared on the well-known streaming show "Narcos" and was also playing a role in Fox's "The Cleaning Lady," which was in the process of filming its third season.
Kiefer Sutherland, who worked with Canto on the television program "Designated Survivor," expressed that he was saddened by the unfortunate passing.
On social media, Sutherland expressed that he thought the person was an amazing individual. He felt the person had a strong passion to excel in their acting career and always aimed to improve. This person's absence will be deeply felt.
Halle Berry collaborated with Canto on two different projects - the movie "Agent Game" and her directorial debut "Bruised," and she shared a post about him on her Instagram account.
At the moment, I cannot express myself fully... but my beloved and cherished companion Adan has passed away. He will always be remembered in my heart.
Canto's family members who are still living are his spouse, Stephanie Ann Canto, along with his two small offspring, Roman Alder and Eve Josephine.
The National Cancer Institute has stated that appendiceal cancer is a type of cancer that is not common and begins from the cells which form the appendix. As revealed by the institute, the illness is capable of spreading to other regions of the stomach when the appendix ruptures.
