Azim started strong from the beginning. In the first round, he landed a beautiful combination followed by a flurry of straight punches that Davies certainly felt, as they landed squarely on his chin.

Davies grinned as he stepped back, but it was clear he was trying to hide his worry. Azim had come out strong and was moving with a threatening determination.

His quick punches were landing on Davies, and Azim was in control of the fight.

Azim connected with a quick left hook, but Davies countered with a powerful right that landed squarely on him. That right hand kept posing a risk, forcing Azim to dodge and evade it.

Their extended punches were a struggle for dominance, with each fighter delivering blows that had the audience gasping in surprise.

As the third round came to a close, they clashed fiercely. Azim and his opponent have been acquaintances for many years, dating back to Azim's childhood. However, their longstanding respect didn’t stop either of them from unleashing some powerful blows during the match.

Azim landed a left hook on Davies in the fourth round, and he prepared to deliver that punch once more. Although Davies smiled again, Azim disregarded it and pushed him to the side with a right hook.

Azim delivered a perfect left hook from his jab and ended the fourth round with a powerful right uppercut that cut through his opponent.

In the fifth round, Davies was clearly feeling the impact of Azim's strong punches. Although Azim managed to shake him with a solid hit, Davies still managed to throw a left hook back.

Azim wasn't fazed. He delivered a solid left to his opponent's body, sending him crashing to the mat. Following that, he unleashed powerful punches, driving a strong right hand down. Davies was clearly on the back foot and in serious trouble. His corner was ready with a towel, hovering at the edge of the ring, contemplating whether to stop the fight after he barely managed to survive the round.

In some way, Davies was able to smile when the bell rang, showing appreciation for Azim's efforts.

The guy from Slough was really in his element during the next round, calmly brushing off yet another strong left punch from Davies.

Azim kept putting him through the wringer. Davies managed to endure for one more round, but Azim ended things dramatically in the eighth.

A precise one-two combination led to a powerful left hook that knocked the Londoner down to his knees at 1:18 in the eighth round. Davies was unable to continue, and the referee stopped the fight even before his corner could intervene.

"It was the best I've ever played," Azim remarked later. "I really needed to stay focused for him."

Throughout these past 13 weeks, I’ve been putting in a lot of effort into my training. While he’s a close friend, he’s also quite formidable. As a contender for the world title, I have immense respect for him.

Davies: This Could Be The End

"Adam is destined for great success in the boxing world. I've had my moments, but now it's Adam's turn to shine and establish himself," said Davies.

"I've spent a significant portion of my life in boxing, over a decade as a professional. My journey began in Hackney, and now I feel it could be time to wrap up my boxing career in the same area where it all began."

"I believe it's important to recognize when it's time to move on. You don't want to linger in this sport for too long or overstay your welcome."

"I'm in good shape and still sharp. I believe this could be the conclusion of my boxing journey, and I'm grateful it was against Adam Azim."
