Aaron Taylor-Johnson Claims Russell Crowe Was A Little Stingy With This Choice Of Wrap Gift
Aaron Taylor-Johnson revealed that Russell Crowe wasn't particularly generous with the gift he gave as a wrap present after their recent collaboration.
The duo appeared together in the recent movie Kraven The Hunter, where Russell portrays Aaron's father in the film.
While on Jimmy Kimmel Live, the British actor shared a story about spending time with Russell off the set. During their chat, the Oscar winner reportedly said to him, all while keeping his character's traits and Russian accent, "Join me, son. Come here. Have a seat beside me. Check out this watch."
"I was really surprised and said, 'Wow! That's an amazing prop!'" Aaron remembered. "He replied, 'No, this isn't a prop. This is the real deal.'"
Aaron subtly hinted to his co-star that "They say, Papa, you're never really the owner of a Patek Philippe; you just take care of it for the next generation."
After filming wrapped up, Aaron mentioned that Russell provided “incredible wrap gifts” to everyone. At least, it appears that way for nearly everyone.
After handing out a bundle of cash and a high-end guitar to two child actors on set, it was now Aaron's turn.
“I thought to myself, ‘Wow, the expectations are really high now,’” he explained. “Then he approaches me, extends his hand, and I immediately see he isn’t wearing a watch. I’m thinking, ‘Alright, let’s see what happens next.’ He says, ‘It was a pleasure collaborating with you, buddy.’”
"Nothing special! Just a handshake!" Aaron shared, but quickly followed up with, "He's an awesome guy and does an amazing job in the film."
