The second high-profile dramatization of Prince Andrew's controversial Newsnight interview has been released in less than a year. Titled A Very Royal Scandal, it's now available for streaming on Prime Video.

This three-part limited series centers on BBC journalist Emily Maitlis and the troubled prince during the days leading up to their famous interview. It reenacts the odd moments of the conversation and portrays the consequences that followed. In this adaptation, Ruth Wilson takes on the role of the reporter, while Michael Sheen plays the disgraced royal.

The 2019 interview aimed to clarify Prince Andrew's supposed connection with the billionaire sex offender Jeffrey Epstein. However, it turned out to be a complete disaster, as the prince gave Maitlis a series of strange excuses and justifications. Among the most astonishing claims was his assertion that he is unable to sweat, along with his statement that he was at a Pizza Express in Woking during the time he allegedly met Virginia Giuffre.

Earlier this year, the unusual series of events was portrayed in the Netflix film *Scoop*, released only six months ago, featuring Gillian Anderson as Maitlis and Rufus Sewell as Andrew. *A Very Royal Scandal* offers a similarly dramatized take on these events, but places a stronger emphasis on the two main characters involved and even has the backing of Maitlis, who serves as an executive producer for the show.

The Independent's review of A Very Royal Scandal describes it as "an engaging and expertly performed look into the world of news reporting. The pace is lively, and the playful title hints at some clever jabs at the British royal family." Here’s how you can start watching the series right now.
