I'm so surprised that March is almost over. This month has been quite strange. Despite the fact that spring is approaching, winter has been very reluctant and is refusing to go away. Although it's sunny now and the snow is starting to melt, we’ve been told to expect more snowfall during the Easter weekend. I'm sure you're familiar with April Fool's Day, which is the day after Easter that I dislike the most. To be safe, it's best to avoid going online on that day.

Naturally, my first Wordle victory (out of two) came on April Fool's Day when I managed to guess the correct word with only one attempt. I selected March because I figured that if someone was playing an April Fool's joke using the Wordle format, they might choose the only other month with five letters that isn't a proper noun like April (which can't be an answer in Wordle due to its status as a proper noun).

When it comes to specific names, I must say that yesterday's Wordle truly caught me off guard!

I make it a daily routine to review my Wordle outcomes using Wordle Bot. You can also utilize Wordle Bot to examine your own Wordles. It's easily accessible and convenient.

I thought I had the answer on my third try, but I was wrong when the third box turned up grey. Oh well, that's life! My first guess wasn't quite right, and I had 196 words left with only one yellow "O". Crane gave me two more yellow letters, and I chose "major" because it was one of the few words I could think of with an "M". Unfortunately, it was actually "mayor" that was the correct answer for today's Wordle.

I scored -1 as the Bot guessed the correct answer in only three attempts, choosing the unexpected option of tyros for the word category of crane, mayor. My own guess in four attempts didn't earn me any points either. It's frustrating.

The origin of the word 'mayor' can be traced back to the Old French term 'maire,' which refers to the person in charge of a city or town government. The word 'maire' can be further traced back to the Latin term 'maior,' which means "greater" or "superior." The Latin term was commonly used in the title 'maior domus' or 'major domo,' which referred to the chief steward of a noble house who had authority and oversight. Overtime, the word 'maior' evolved into different forms in the Romance languages and finally became the English 'mayor.' The role of a mayor as the leader of a city or municipal government reflects this historical sense of being a superior or chief official within a local jurisdiction.
