Tommy Robinson charged after arrest at antisemitism march

Tommy Robinson, who is known for his activist involvement, has been officially charged for his attendance at the anti-antisemitism demonstration held in London on Sunday.

The man who used to head the far-right English Defence League, currently aged 40 and going by the name Stephen Yaxley-Lennon, got apprehended at the gathering due to his non-adherence to vacate the area when directed.

The people in charge had informed Mr. Yaxley-Lenon that he was not invited to a parade that was located in the center of London because he had expressed his desire to attend.

The Metropolitan Police issued an announcement on Monday that Stephen Lennon from Bedfordshire has been accused of not adhering to a section 35 direction which prohibits an individual's entry into a designated area.

"He has been released on bail and is expected to attend the Westminster Magistrates' Court on the 22nd of January."

According to the Metropolitan Police, Mr. Yaxley-Lennon claimed that he attended the protest as a journalist.

Approximately 60,000 individuals participated in the occasion.
