On Thursday, Sharon Stone confessed that she was deeply saddened when she discovered that she was no longer relevant to people after she endured a nearly fatal incident 22 years ago.

A well-known actress from America, who now works as a painter and is 66 years old, was told she had only a slim chance of surviving after experiencing a stroke and a nine-day brain bleed back in 2001.

The person who won an Emmy Award, and who has made significant changes in her life since experiencing a brain hemorrhage, talked about the reasons why she left the entertainment industry and started painting instead.

During an interview with hosts Kate Garraway and Ed Balls on Good Morning Britain, Sharon honestly explained why she had no intentions of going back to Hollywood after taking a seven-year hiatus.

According to her statement, it took her a good seven years to begin her path towards recovery, which is quite a lengthy period to lose one's drive.

Change is a constant part of life, and sometimes individuals may not receive the same level of attention as before. It's similar to returning to a previous place of employment after seven years, as things will have undoubtedly transformed, and one cannot simply resume their role without acknowledging the differences.

I felt a bit wounded that everything continued without me, but I've somewhat come to terms with it at present.

Sharon also shared her experience of having an unseen disability and the everyday consequences she faces due to the brain hemorrhage.

She exclaimed: 'It was truly a miraculous moment. I've changed as a person - I have a hidden disability, and many are unaware of it.

When you are using crutches, others can notice and offer you assistance, but if you are experiencing difficulties with your brain, it is not as visible and people may not realize you need help.

The previous month, the famous Casino star showcased some paintings that she created in an exhibition at Gallery 181 located in San Francisco.

She posted two pictures on Instagram giving a sneak peek of her collection. She has previously exhibited her works in a gallery.

In the past few years, the woman who has three children decided to distance herself from the entertainment industry and focus on her artwork instead. Her pieces have been exhibited in various galleries all over the nation.

During that time, she ceased being acknowledged as the latest and greatest, and she no longer commanded a high demand at the box office. Additionally, the individuals she used to collaborate with lost their authority in the industry.

She expressed: 'Changes occur constantly and individuals are not bothered about that individual anymore. It's akin to returning to your previous employment after seven years, you cannot merely stroll back to your work and assume that everything has stayed the same.'

She added: 'I felt a bit upset that the rest of the world progressed without me, but now I've learned to accept it.'

In 2004, there was a photo of Sharon taken three years after she experienced a brain hemorrhage.

The woman devotes 17 hours a day to painting at her luxurious mansion in Los Angeles, and her artwork is gaining recognition. Her initial painting was sold for a sum of $30,000.

Sharon was questioned about her painting hobby and she responded by sharing her recent reflection on the topic. She expressed how she had realized the lack of opportunities for women to pursue their desired careers.

The author of Beauty Of Living Twice, who was brought up in Pennsylvania, said that they had a fondness for painting during their childhood.
