May Half-Term Camps

Oxford United

Children in Oxfordshire who are passionate about football, are being invited to join Oxford United in the Community's holiday camps during the mid-term break. These camps will take place in Oxford and Kidlington over the coming month.

The charity belonging to the football club will hold sessions for both boys and girls, as well as only for girls, at The Oxford Academy in Littlemore. Meanwhile, Kidlington Youth FC will organize its second camps after having a great turnout during the Easter season.

The charity offers sessions for kids between five and 13 years old (five to 11 years old, specifically for Kidlington camps) regardless of their skill level. These sessions are led by a team of coaches with ample experience and qualifications, who impart new football skills and techniques while facilitating an enjoyable and encouraging atmosphere where kids can build new relationships and connections.

The commencement of all the camps is scheduled for Tuesday, May 28 and they will continue for four days. One can make a reservation on the Oxford United in the Community website as there are vacancies available.

All the money earned from every camp will be put back into the charity's efforts to encourage communities to be happier, healthier, and more connected through various programmes and projects.

Rob Porter, who is the head coach of the community program at Oxford United, has urged all guardians and parents to reserve their spot at the earliest possible opportunity to prevent future sorrow.

Rob announced that our Easter camps had a remarkable achievement as many young players had a great time participating in our sessions. It was satisfying to witness the growing numbers of attendees each term as we strive to expand the availability of football-related options throughout the county. We achieved this vision with the assistance of our partner centres and clubs.

We're happy to announce that our collaboration with Kidlington Youth FC will carry on even during the summer break. The girls-only programs which garnered significant attention since their debut last year will be included in the partnership.

We advise parents and guardians to make early reservations as spots are taken up fast. We appreciate your support in fostering the best outcomes for those participating in our football-centered initiatives.

The coaches working for Oxford United in the Community are well-qualified by FA standards and regularly receive safeguarding and first-aid training, as well as CRC checks. Parents should ensure their children come with proper football attire, including shin guards, boots, and trainers, and also bring along food and drinks for lunch.
