Filmmakers and investigative journalists Dan Ashby and Lucy Taylor are set to host Buried: The Last Witness once more. The program will delve into the lasting effects of "forever chemicals."

After coming across a box of unrevealed proof left behind by a departed witness, Ashby and Taylor embark on a quest to unveil the dreadful aftermath of PCB chemicals on our surroundings, the food system, and our localities.

Moreover, the hosts of the podcast were taken aback when they found out that the actor, Michael Sheen, had documented the last statement of the witness.

According to the BBC, "Buried: The Last Witness" is going to uncover the conclusion of a year-long exploration that includes collected evidence, classified papers and distinct experimentation involving UK territory, grocery items, and bodily fluids.

Ashby expressed that unlike other true-crime series where there is a victim that we can identify with and feel sorry for, this one is different. We are already aware of the poison and the offenders involved, but what's unsettling is whether we all have been victimized by it. This investigation is one of a kind as it affects everyone in a universal and profound manner. Personally, Ashby has never come across such a series that has an impact on such a personal level.

Taylor stated that they have been fixated on the life of a certain man, oftentimes on a daily or even hourly basis. This individual was extremely intelligent, had diverse interests, and exhibited idiosyncratic behavior. Despite not fitting the usual mold of an environmental champion, he has emerged as one.

Do you know who he was and what he witnessed? Is it possible that in 1967, that one field altered our lives completely? Listening to Buried: The Last Witness is essential once you discover what he observed.

According to Sheen, comprehending the situation is difficult. The narrative revolves around the earliest permanent chemicals. Several similar chemicals exist at present. The goal is for individuals to be aware of their actions at present.

Starting on June 24th, Buried: The Last Witness will be aired every week on BBC Radio 4. You can also find it as a collection on BBC Sounds.
