Kobbie Mainoo scored his first ever Old Trafford goal in the 2-2 draw between Manchester United and Liverpool on Sunday. However, even though he was happy about the achievement, the young midfielder expressed that he thinks they still need to correct some errors.

During the match, United scored two incredible goals in the latter half. The first goal was scored by Bruno Fernandes from a far distance inside the centre-circle, and the second was executed by Mainoo in a cleverly curved finish despite facing away from the goal.

Despite facing a tumultuous situation, he maintained his composure which helped put Ten Hag's team in a favorable position for the first time during the match. However, mistakes made by United on either side of the half-time break prevented them from securing a win and earning all three points.

The individual who is 18 years old acknowledged the significant achievement of scoring his first goal at Old Trafford during his early professional career. However, he did not let the moment overwhelm him, as he tends to be modest in his approach.

"We United As One: Mainoo"

Kobbie Mainoo expressed contentment with the reaction of United in the latter part of the game, but was hoping for a victory with three points instead of settling for one.

After the match, the English player talked to Sky Sports and expressed his excitement. He found it unbelievable to score his first professional goal at Old Trafford, and he felt great that he achieved it during this match.

"However, to summarize, we did not achieve our goal of earning three points, therefore I cannot express complete satisfaction at this moment."

Despite being young, Mainoo was always professional and had already started evaluating what areas he needed to work on for his next time out.

He expressed his view that the team's errors are only minor ones. Whether it's related to their ball handling or positioning, these mistakes can occur during a game. However, they can have a significant negative impact on the team. He believes that these mistakes are the reason for their losses.

The individual who graduated from the Academy was involved in the tumultuous situation that resulted in Liverpool's Luis Diaz scoring the first goal of the match by tapping it in at the opposite end. He proceeded to describe how it happened as seen through his eyes.

He talked to the BBC and explained that during that time he was supposed to defend against Virgil van Dijk along with Rasmus Hojlund while leaving Luis Diaz.

We need to resolve this issue as there was a misunderstanding, and the lack of specific information has caused us some setbacks.

Although he didn't end up winning on the day, it's still worth noting that his performance was quite notable. He managed to score a goal during a highly competitive match at Old Trafford, which will undoubtedly be remembered as the first of many accomplishments for this rising star.

In an interview with Sky, Mainoo expressed that he won't let any negative thoughts affect him in the next game even though he didn't win.

He mentioned that the game is consistently challenging, particularly during this specific match. It can exhaust you physically and mentally.

"Indeed, it can be challenging, yet we must constantly persevere through these difficult situations."

Ten Hag expressed his pride regarding the team in a video.
