Kate Garraway thanks 'incredible' viewers on return to hosting Good Morning Britain

after taking time off to care for her husband, who is suffering from a serious health condition. On Thursday, Kate Garraway resumed her role on Good Morning Britain. She had previously been absent from the show to attend to her husband's medical needs, as he is currently experiencing a severe health ailment.
On Thursday, Kate Garraway expressed her gratitude towards the viewers for their "amazing" support as she resumed her role as a host on Good Morning Britain.
At 56 years old, Garraway expressed her joy in returning, but admitted to feeling a bit unsteady.
She said, "This morning the make-up girls made me cry just by greeting me."
Ben Shephard, who co-hosted alongside her, promised to be understanding towards Garraway, and later he admired her for arranging such an impressive and exceptional funeral that left her husband proud.
After temporarily stepping away from the host's role, Garraway briefly appeared on GMB on Monday before resuming her position on the show.
She expressed her gratitude towards all those who were watching her from their homes. She acknowledged that she had already mentioned it on Monday, but she couldn't help but appreciate the immense support she had been receiving from all of them.
"It was incredibly heartwarming to be showered with so much affection from everyone in this community."
In March 2020, when the coronavirus pandemic was ongoing, Draper became severely ill and had to be hospitalized. He remained in the hospital for slightly over a year before being released to receive care at home.
He passed away on January 3rd of this year when he was 56 years old. He had been experiencing prolonged symptoms leading up to his passing.
Garraway stopped presenting frequently in order to support Draper when he became sick. In December he experienced a heart attack and she took a break again to be by his side.

The pair tied the knot in 2005 and are parents to two offspring.
Draper, who used to work as a lobbyist in the political field, tied the knot with Garraway in September of 2005.
The funeral in north London was visited by ex-PM Tony Blair, artist Elton John, and the Labour head Keir Starmer.
During the program, entertainment journalist Richard Arnold talked about the funeral and called it an "amazing farewell for an exceptional individual". He made a joke about someone accidentally spilling a whole tray of champagne on him while he was there.

"I was completely soaked and had to wait for thirty minutes before leaving. When I returned to take care of my mom, she asked me if I had something to drink," he said, causing Garraway and Shephard to chuckle.
Arnold expressed that he felt a surge of sentiment when greeting Garraway upon their return, and further added, "It's wonderful to have you back."
Shephard also presented messages sent by the audience, and one of them mentioned that it was fantastic to witness Kate reunited with her partner in crime, Ben.
He posted a picture of him and Garraway reunited on social media and wrote a message saying good morning and how happy he is to have Kate back. He also thanked everyone who sent messages.
"I'm happy to inform you that I've started cleaning up after her, hence bringing things back to their usual state."
