Anne Hathaway has revealed that she demanded to be referred to by her character's name during her latest project. Apparently, this was an effort to shield herself from her "greatest terror".

The famous actor who won an Oscar is acting in a thrilling movie called "Mother's Instinct" where he co-stars with Jessica Chastain. The plot revolves around two housewives living in the 1960s whose lives and relationships suffer great harm due to a tragic incident.

Hathaway informed Sky News that the job was extremely unpleasant and the last thing one would want to bring home with them.

Mother's Instinct is a movie adaptation of a French film that was released in 2018. It marks the first time that director Benoit Delhomme has helmed a feature film, and the entire movie was filmed in a speedy 24-day production schedule.

The actress from The Devil Wears Prada explains that she usually has a relaxed attitude on set. However, due to the nature of this particular film, she had to establish a boundary between her work and personal life.

I arranged a meeting with Jessica Chastain, Benoit Delhomme (the director), and some of the significant crew members. During the meeting, I made it clear to them that I had a request. I insisted that they refer to me by my character's name.

In her statement, she mentioned that she had to establish a barrier between herself and the other person as a precautionary measure. Her worst fear was being realized, hence the need for extra caution. She expressed her gratitude towards everyone for extending their support and providing her with a protective shield. Their help was invaluable to her, and she felt secured because of it.

Jessica Chastain, who has also won an Oscar, co-stars in the thriller. She thinks that the time period when the movie takes place is similar to today's world.

The society experienced a major shift in terms of gender during the 1960s, as women began to explore their independence and made their voices heard on a large scale. It was a transformative period filled with explosive energy.

Women are often subjected to unreasonable standards that are not equally imposed on men, resulting in unjust demands and pressures.

The female actor from The Good Nurse affirms that regrettably, there is still progress to be made. She believes that women frequently face unjust demands.

Chastain clarifies that women are subjected to specific notions in the media, including their vocal range and how they portray themselves in the context of their femininity.

Hathaway and Chastain are pals off-screen too, and they have collaborated before on the film Interstellar, directed by Christopher Nolan.

Hathaway made a quip about Chastain being a "sniper" in terms of acting during filming. She added that she was impressed by her co-star's remarkable performance and had to take a moment to appreciate it.

She expresses that filming was a rather challenging component because she had to ensure her friend had enough room to convey her character, while also avoiding portraying anxiety in an accurate and impressive manner.
