The final lineup of horses and jockeys for the 2024 Grand National has been confirmed as the highly anticipated day in the British horse racing schedule approaches.

On April 13, Aintree will be hosting The Grand National with a record of 34 runners expected to take on the 4m 2f race. This is less than last year's 40, which is an effort to guarantee the safety of both the horses and jockeys.

On Thursday, the shortlist for the famous race was cut down from 51 horses to just 34, leaving two days for teams to get ready. Several well-known horses like Asterion Forlonge, James Du Berlais, and Threeunderthrufive have decided not to participate, and Hewick, who was supposed to carry the heaviest weight in the race, will now compete in the Aintree Bowl instead. Additionally, Conflated, who was initially going to carry the most weight, also withdrew from the race on Thursday.

The favorite to win this year's Grand National is Corach Rambler, who won last year. They are trained in Scotland and have odds of 13/2 to win again at Aintree. Willie Mullins's most promising horse is I Am Maximus, and they are currently priced at 7/1. Meetingofthewaters, another horse trained by Mullins, has odds of 11/1. Vanillier, who came in second place in the 2023 Grand National, is being offered at 10/1 on betting sites, and some believe that they have a good chance of coming out on top this year.
