"Ivan Toney Joins England Squad For Euro 2024 Friendlies At Wembley"

In less than 10 weeks' time, Southgate will announce the players who are in the running for this summer's Euros. The tournament is set to be held in Germany and will kick off on 14 June.

Group C will consist of England, Serbia, Denmark and Slovenia after the draw was made.

In March 2023, Toney had his first game playing for England in the international arena. He is the third player who has ever represented England while playing for Brentford, and the initial player since Les Smith's time, who was on the team that played against Romania back in 1939.

Since his comeback in January, the forward has managed to net four times throughout nine matches in the Premier League.

In a recent Long Read article, Toney discussed his aspirations for Euro 2024. He expressed his goal to participate in the event, however, acknowledged that he cannot predict the future. Toney emphasized the importance of performing well and scoring goals to increase his chances of selection. Ultimately, Toney remains hopeful and unsure of what lies ahead.

Playing for England for the first time was a wish fulfilled, but I hope it won't be a one-time occurrence. I desire to keep playing for England for an extended period of time, without any interruptions.

I'm hopeful that I'll be selected for the team and make a larger impact.
