Reports indicate that six individuals, comprised of a father of three who hails from El Salvador and several others, are believed to have tragically lost their lives following a collision of a cargo vessel with Baltimore's well-known Francis Scott Key Bridge in the early hours of Tuesday.

The massive search and rescue operation initiated by the US Cost Guard has come to an end, with the announcement that the men in question have been confirmed dead.

It is thought that all individuals are part of a team responsible for repairing potholes and were present on the bridge at the time. They are citizens of nations located in Latin America.

Boats and choppers have participated in a vast mission to locate the six people who are nowhere to be found. On Tuesday, two individuals were rescued from the water, nevertheless, one of them is in a critical state.

The group of labourers consisted of individuals who hailed from Mexico, Guatemala, Honduras, and El Salvador.

The non-profit group called Casa, which helps immigrants in Baltimore, and the foreign minister of El Salvador have both confirmed that a worker who had gone missing has been identified as Miguel Luna, originally from El Salvador.

In an official statement, Gustavo Torres, the executive director of Casa, stated that the person in question is a Maryland resident of 19 years who also happens to be a husband and proud father of three children.

Marvin Luna, who is the offspring of Miguel Luna, disclosed to the Washington Post that he was aware of his dad's presence on the bridge during the night. Though he remained unaware of the bridge collapse until some of his pals phoned him and revealed the news by saying, "The bridge is no more."

The service in charge of protecting migrants in Honduras has announced that another person has been identified as a victim, and their name is Maynor Yassir Suazo Sandoval.

According to El Heraldo, a newspaper in Honduras, it has been reported that he originated from the department of Santa Barbara which is located in the western portion of the country.

According to NBC News, Mr Sandoval's kin were notified of his disappearance a few hours after the bridge crumbled during the wee hours of Tuesday.

"The only thing we hope for is a chance to view the remains," stated Mr. Suazo's sibling. "Our desire is to locate him, learn if he is still alive, or confirm his death, as we are currently in the dark."

According to his brother, US media reports that Mr Sandoval has been a resident of the United States for the last 18 years and is currently wedded with two kids - a 5-year-old daughter and an 18-year-old son.

Several of Mr. Suazo's relatives expressed their condolences for him on social media in response to reports that he was one of the individuals who had not yet been located.

"I am in disbelief, Maynor. It's hard to accept that I won't see you again after that Friday," a woman expressed in Spanish on Facebook. "You will always be remembered by me."

The ministry responsible for managing Guatemala's international relationships has verified the identities of two workers hailing from Petén and Chiquimula. However, the ministry has decided not to disclose their specific names.

Mexican President Andres Manuel Lopez Obrador announced on Wednesday that two individuals who had been reported missing were Mexican citizens. Additionally, he informed the public that a third person had already been rescued.

He refused to provide additional information and mentioned that the family requested that their personal information remain confidential to officials.

According to reports, one of the men who are missing is Maynor Yassir Suazo Sandova.

Brawner Builders, a nearby contractor that performs upkeep on bridges within the state of Maryland, had hired six individuals.

According to Jesus Campos, an individual who has been employed by the company and has acquaintances among the staff working at the bridge, he was informed that they were taking a hiatus and a few of them were resting in their automobiles.

"I recall being in that situation just one month ago, and I completely understand the emotions that arise when the trailers go by," shared Mr Campos with the Associated Press.

Jeffrey Pritzker, an executive vice-president of Brawner Builders, stated to the New York Times that this group of six men were great family individuals. He continued by saying that they each had partners and kids.
