What is happening between Paul Mescal and Ayo Edebiri?
I don't want to overreact, but nothing has been on my mind more than Ayo Edebiri and Paul Mescal's selfie on St. Patrick's Day. It's been the only thing I've been thinking about in the past day. I wonder if they're just good friends having a drink to honor their Irish roots, or if there's something more going on between them? Maybe they're collaborating on a secret project? Whatever it is, I need to know right away.
If you're not as crazy about it as I am, you may have missed The Bear actor Ayo Edebiri's latest Instagram Story. Over the weekend, they posted a photo of themselves with Paul Mescal where the two of them were smiling at the camera while sitting on a set of stairs. Ayo added the caption "Happy St Paddy's ☘️" to the playful snapshot.
After the popular meme where Ayo has been teasing that she's Irish (even though she's really from Boston), it was expected that she would acknowledge St. Patrick's Day. It was only natural that she would commemorate the occasion with a snap with her fellow Bostonian, Paul Mescal. However, it's uncertain if the picture was actually captured on that day or if it's an old photo from a past gathering between the two.
After posting the picture, individuals are going crazy contemplating whether there might be a "lovey-dovey" relationship happening between the two. This occurrence isn't the initial occasion when folks have seen them together, and within the previous year, they appear to have a great relationship, frequently taking pictures together during professional gatherings.
Although the idea of having an unannounced romantic relationship between them cannot be ruled out, it is also likely that they are collaborating on a fresh movie venture.
In November 2023, Paul shared with Awards Watch that he is considering taking on a romantic comedy film alongside Ayo. He admitted that comedy isn't his comfort zone, recalling a recent movie called Bottoms that left him amazed and envious of the cast and crew's talent. Despite this, Paul is setting a personal challenge to tackle a rom-com with Ayo within the next five years.
We might not have to wait for five years to see the romantic comedy film, thanks to the efforts of internet enthusiasts who have carried out extensive investigations.
The author Emily Henry revealed in March 2023 that her book "Book Lovers" would be made into a movie by the same producers who worked on "Aftersun". Just to let you know, Paul Mescal was the star of "Aftersun".
Yesterday, which happened to be March 17th, Emily Henry posted a photo of Ayo and Paul to her Instagram Story. This caused people to start wondering if she was sneakily revealing the cast for the upcoming Book Lovers adaptation.
It's important to note that there hasn't been any official confirmation yet. It's possible that Emily is just like the rest of us and is a big fan.
