???????? Eurovision 2024: ABBA at Eurovision Grand Final?

ABBA

Clues are suggesting that ABBA may show up in some capacity at the Eurovision 2024 Grand Final happening this Saturday.

During the past few weeks, the Eurovision Song Contest creative team and EBU have been teasing a potential ABBA appearance at Eurovision 2024. Back in 1974, ABBA triumphed in the competition, propelling themselves into superstar status.

Although the specifics of the upcoming ABBA tribute have not been made public, rumors from insiders familiar with Eurovision suggest that something truly spectacular is being planned. Followers of the band have been discussing the likelihood of ABBA making an appearance in virtual form at the event, an idea inspired by their popular avatar performances seen in the successful ABBA Voyage shows in London where motion capture technology is utilized to bring the group back to life.

Martin Österdahl, who holds the position of Executive Supervisor of Eurovision, has stated that he wants the event to be a festive occasion and has specifically emphasized the strong bond between Sweden and the Eurovision contest.

"We're celebrating Sweden's historical seventh win, which is the same as Ireland's all-time record. We also have Loreen, who is currently holding the championship title and is the only female to win the competition twice. Not forgetting, the iconic band ABBA who claimed a legendary victory with their song 'Waterloo' 50 years ago. We will be acknowledging all these significant achievements," he stated.

At this current moment of composing, it must be stated that there are no official declarations regarding ABBA's comeback to the Eurovision arena.

This upcoming Saturday, at nine in the evening Central European Summer Time, the eagerly awaited final showdown of the Eurovision Song Contest for 2024 will begin.
